This false-color Suomi NPP VIIRS image shows areas of\n flooding as observed on January 3, 2016. The VIIRS high resolution \nimagery channels are being used to provide highly detailed flood maps to\n area responders, using a newly-developed algorithm to detect standing \nwater.
