06 Jun ANIMATED SERIES WINS GOLD TELLY AWARDS
SILVER SPRING, MD – June 6, 2025 — I. M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG) is proud to share that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) video series Teek and Tom Explore Planet Earth – supported in part by the IMSG-led NOAA Environmental Visualization Lab – has been honored with four 2025 Telly Awards.
These awards came just days after IMSG President Imelda Martin and VizLab Project Lead Rafael de Ameller attended the 2025 Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Awards Ceremony in Pittsburgh, PA, where the series won the third place in the K–12 educational program category.
The Teek and Tom series is NOAA’s first animated series and explores how the ocean influences weather and climate on earth, wild weather extremes, and how NOAA uses high tech tools to gather information about planet Earth. The five-part series combines vibrant visuals, expert storytelling, and curriculum-aligned lesson plans to bring Earth science topics to life for young learners.
